Determination of First-Trimester Screening marker concentration values of hCGb, AFP, uE3 & Inhibin A.
Indications for testing
The maternal serum screening test is a blood test offered to pregnant women. It helps to inform them of the chance of their unborn child having Down syndrome, Edward syndrome or a Patau Syndrome.
Condition description
This early First Trimester Screening is performed between the 11th and 13th week of pregnancy.

Collect blood by venipuncture, allow it to clot, and separate the serum by centrifugation as quickly as possible. |
