Overview

The LabChip NGS 3K reagent kit offers a high-throughput solution for analyzing total DNA and fragment size distribution, ensuring conservation of rare or limited samples.

Using this assay an immediate determination of sample degradation and size distribution can be made in only 68 seconds/sample.

It is designed for use on the LabChip GX/GXII Touch™ systems. The LabChip DNA X-Mark chip is sold separately.

Agarose gels are traditionally used to visually analyze DNA quality. Gels can be informative, but they also tend to exhibit variability in sizing, smearing, quantitation and staining. Unlike the LabChip NGS 3K reagent kit used on a LabChip system, gel-based methods are not amenable to automation or to the analysis of large numbers of samples, nor do they provide easy distribution and archiving of data.

If needed, sample preparation can be readily performed by automated liquid handlers including the Fontus™ and JANUS™ liquid handling workstations.
