In a normal pregnancy, the maternal serum level of PAPP-A increases throughout the pregnancy until term. Decreased levels of PAPP-A can be seen in pregnancies affected with Down´s syndrome in the first trimester of the pregnancy. These solid-phase, two-site fluoroimmunometric assays are based on the indirect sandwich technique in which two monoclonal antibodies are directed against two separate antigenic determinants on the PAPP-A/proMBP complex.
Kit Content: PAPP-A kit for 96 assays. For use with the AutoDELFIA Automatic Immunoassay System. The kit does not include Wash Concentrate and Enhancement Solution, which are supplied separately in bulk.
