- Dr. Cohen will describe the general utility of pre-clinical animal models in his experience for accelerating research and drug discovery & development (DDD) funnels, as he reviews the applicability and importance of pre-clinical animal models in various studies in basic/translational research, disease modeling, or ADMET studies.
- Dr. Alves shares her proof-of-concept study in forensic toxicology work studying opioid metabolite detection in rabbits, analyzing these chemical compounds in bones via mass spec to show the capacity of bone to be valuable chemical reservoir for fentanyl in cold cases. She highlights her work on establishing an alternative, fast bone processing workflow leveraging a bead mill homogenizer that significantly lessens analyte prep.
